Mossman Gorge
Home to one of the world’s oldest living cultures, Mossman Gorge is a special place. Daintree Rainforest
Just north of Port Douglas, you’ll find the most famed area of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, the Daintree Rainforest. You’ll find the crystal-clear waters of Mossman Gorge a short 20-minute drive from Port Douglas. Be welcomed to the country with a traditional smoking ceremony and discover the culture and traditions of the Kuku Yalanji Traditional Custodians on a guided Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk that meanders through the rainforest surrounding Mossman Gorge.
Port Douglas

The Great Barrier Reef
Words can’t do the Great Barrier Reef justice and the amazing feeling of swimming in one of the seven natural wonders of the world is something you’ll have to experience to believe. Dive into the big blue, home to minke whales and manta rays, sea turtles and seahorses, giant clams and tiny clownfish, not to mention vividly coloured coral gardens. Visit Janbal Aboriginal Art Gallery in Mossman, Kuku Yalanji country to learn about the art and culture through hands-on painting and storytelling experiences. Join co-owner and local Aboriginal artist, Brian “Binna” Swindley, for painting classes and workshops.
Mossman Market
A genuine country market, held beneath the giant rain trees in Mossman every Saturday from 7 am until 1 pm. You can expect lots of fresh produce, including exotic fruits, herbs and spices and a wide range of vegetables. So make sure you set aside enough time to wander beneath the trees and enjoy the ambience of these delightful country markets.
Daintree Food Trail
Dive food-first into the tropical north's delicious side along the 87kms that link the Daintree Food Trail’s 20 stops from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation. The Daintree Food Trail is a great way to explore the bounty of the region - and Cape Trib Farm is a must-stop to taste a huge range of exotic fruits, from mangosteen to jackfruit. River Drift Snorkelling
Relaxation has taken on a new soundtrack drifting down the Mossman River with a chorus of birdsong, the gentle babble of the river and soft hum of cicadas filling the air. You’re on a raft floating down translucent water which gains its only colour from the reflection of nature’s cathedral – the rainforest canopy above. Dive below the surface, where you can explore the underwater world with a mask and snorkel to spot turtles and over 33 species of fish.
Four Mile Beach
Soak up the sun at local icon, Four Mile Beach. Patrolled year-round, this calm sandy stretch spans four miles along the Coral Sea and is known for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful white sand beaches. It’s a popular destination for tourists and locals for good reason.
